Teachers for Taytum!

Over 40 TpT sellers have come together to create bundles to benefit the March of Dimes.  We decided to put these bundles together in honor of Taytum Connor.  "Teachers for Taytum" will donate all of the profits made from the bundles in Taytum’s honor to help support the research of the March of Dimes, March for Babies.  Please check out the bundles that are available below.  There is something for everyone.

Taytum Connor was born at 29 weeks.  Taytum received medications that are available because of research promoted by the March of Dimes.  Taytum's care in the NICU would not be possible without the research and funding March of Dimes has dedicated to preterm babies.  You can read more about Taytum and the Connor family's story here.
There are several different bundles that are available for purchase.  Check out the different options below.  Click on the bundle picture below for purchase.  Each bundle is only $10... an incredible value and an incredible cause!

a great time for a sale!

Wow, February went by quickly! I can't believe that it's been almost a month since I blogged! The hundredth day and Valentine's day really took it out of me...Lol. Two very fun days back-to-back.  I think I'm still tired though.

In other news... have you heard about this terrific sale going on in just a few hours??? It's crazy to think that 3,000,000 teachers are on teachers pay teachers, that's so awesome, and we're only a fraction of all those amazing teachers out there.  My wish list will be getting smaller the next 2 days for sure!

27 days!

It's been 1,2,3...27 days since I last blogged. Whoops!  Our last two weeks have been pretty good but I'm excited to have a 3 day weekend for sure.  I have had an awesome week aside from school, I got back into CrossFit and Zumba.  I totally need the stress relief that working brings me! It's nice to have an hour where I don't have to do anything for school. I'm new to First Grade this year so I feel like I ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS have something that I have to do. (It's been said that I may be a little bit of an over-achiever...I don't know what they're talking about!) What do you do to relieve stress and just forget about everything that you have to do? I have felt soo much better this week, I've worked out 5 times, including today (BRU-TAL, I tell you!) We did a workout at CrossFit called the Dirty Thirty, 30 reps (or cals) of 12 different exercises or movements. I was exhausted!

My friend pinned these this morning and it pretty much sums it up!

Ok moving on! I recently made this fun pack for my students, unfortunately the laminator is broken so we haven't got to do any of the activities yet :( There are 3 math and 3 literacy activities. I'm putting it on sale for $2 this weekend, that's 50% off! Click on the first picture to go to my TpT store.

Just some of the activities! You can download a preview at my store.

Here's what I'm working on right now, a new Valentine pack! I love red, purple and pink together, it's one of my favorite color combinations. I'm totally inspired to make to make something cute! What do you think?
Have a great Saturday!

Five for Friday...On Saturday!

I'm linking up Doodles Bus Teaching to share my week with you!

and what a week it was!
We've been enjoying our visits with our classroom elf "Jingle" however in all the craziness of the week I forgot to take pictures of all his shenanigans, but I did get this one!

On Wednesday and Thursday we made Christmas ornaments for the parents and they turned out soo cute! I hope they will like them,  my ornaments are still on my parent's tree at their house.
This project required: white acrylic paint, plain Christmas balls ( I found blue glittery ones on clearance at Shopko), and a variety of Sharpies.  I was a little nervous to have them use Sharpies so I gave them a tiny little square to come up with their snowman design. I think the practice was perfect and they ornaments turned out great! Aren't they cute?!

Now for Friday...We began the day with the movie The Polar Express...I did a little lesson planning while we were watching.  All seven classes...yes seven were in the library.

To end the day we had our Christmas party and made gingerbread houses, fortunately we had many parents come to help us, Thank You :)

Then is was over! and now I'm officially on Christmas break, yeah! It was the longest week ever but it's all worth it! I'll miss those kiddos over break for sure.
Yay for Break! me (in the red) and a fellow 1st grade teacher :)

When we come back we will be reviewing expectations and rules. What do you do when coming back from break? I would love to hear your ideas!
